Vancouver Review / Magazine Design
Project Brief
The magazine underwent a redesign in 2006. The new flag and individual cover design needed to be graphically bold, and make a statement that reflected the strong, and often alternative, views in the magazine’s content. Our solution was to create a sustained, visual theme of organic, abstracted layering of typography, graphic elements and photography. “The VR needed to broaden its appeal with a look that says ‘sophisticated, literate and punchy city magazine,’” said Mark Mushet, creative director of the Vancouver Review, “and Demo Graphic delivered it perfectly.”
