Project Brief
The university wanted to create awareness about the tangible impact that UBC research has had on British Columbia and the world, through a series of full page ads that ran in major regional newspapers. We used specific examples to highlight the benefits that research has had on actual citizens, communities and industries. And the headlines engaged and challenged the way people think about the university: positioning it as a vital community member, rather than an ivory tower. Like, “Ouch that’s smart,” for a program that produces more doctors to serve specific under-serviced regions of B.C..
