Project Brief
We developed the graphic identity for Parliament within the context of the cool, urban, fashionable neighbourhood of Gastown. It needed to be simple, elegant fresh and fun, so we put classic, simple, timeless typography at the centre of the graphic identity, with a cleanly typeset wordmark and more energetic typographic window displays and interior graphics. To add to the fun, we incorporated an illustrated owl motif (playing on the fact that a group of owls is a “parliament”).

Parliament, located in Vancouver’s historic Gastown, is a home decor store that sells contemporary furniture and accessories that provide high design at affordable prices.
