Project Brief
Steeped in history and tradition, and fueled by a passion for innovation, the celebrated boutique roaster needed to communicate how its brand identity blends its European roots with a progressive, West Coast attitude. We crafted the headline, “West Coast heart, Italian soul.” And created a logo that speaks to both the classic—with simple, mid-century letterforms, and the contemporary—with a vigorous, almost scribbled, line that dives in and out of the stylized coffee bean graphic.
Milano
The artisan legacy of Vancouver-based Milano Coffee, founded in 1984, dates back three quarters of a century to Italy. The Milano taste is derived from the secrets of the torrefazione, handed down from one generation to the next, through the lineage of Musetti, Curatolo and Turko.
