Principals

Sharon Martyniuk / Art Director & Principal
Sharon’s approach to art direction and design is about inciting emotional and visceral reactions. To do that, she starts by honing in on the reaction she wants to have herself. Then, by putting herself in the place of the viewer, without generalizing about market segment or customer profile first, she can create work that looks and feels authentic. “People instinctively tune into design when it reveals something honest, something personable,” says Sharon. “It’s important to recognize what we feel about a design, as much as think about its literal meaning.” A skilled director, she loves to gather experts together, draw out their ideas, then pay attention to the ones that are right. Formally trained in graphic design, her aesthetic approach of nothing more, nothing less, makes her work direct and high-impact.

Dylan Staniul / Creative Director & Principal
As a creative director, Dylan begins by articulating the problems that need to be solved, then developing a focused direction for the creative. To do that, he draws on his enthusiasm for working with clients to understand their passions and their problems. “Design and branding is largely about having a clear message, but that message must convey something unique, something that hasn’t been said before,” says Dylan. He feels good creative comes from learning as much as you can, and then letting your imagination go. He experiments with taking common ideas, breaking them apart, and putting them back together in new ways, and says the trick is in noticing when a new combination is working.
